 NATIONAL RELIGIOUS GROUP EYES ELECTIONS

Washington, DC – The National Pro-Life Religious Council, comprised of pro-life organizations from many Christian denominations, has announced that it is fostering non-partisan political activity among the nation’s Churches between now and Election Day.  Activities such as non-partisan voter registration and get-out-the-vote drives, educational campaigns about the issues, and distribution of non-partisan voter guides are among the priorities.

“Faith and politics do mix,” asserted NPRC president Rev. Frank Pavone, “especially when certain politicians permit the direct and deliberate destruction of children by abortion.  For the Church to be silent about this violence, or to instruct its people just to hope and pray it goes away, is the height of irresponsibility.  We will mobilize our Churches to the fullest extent possible, and challenge voters with the question, ‘If a politician cannot respect the life of a little baby, how will he respect yours?’”
